- To provide students with a deep working knowledge of fundamentals in areas related to the field to address needs of the Industry and Society.
- To train students in developing technologies and finding solutions to complex engineering problems.
- To give domain-specific expertise to the department’s faculty.
- To familiarise students in the core process of product development – conceptualise, design, manufacture, test.
- To increase the number of students placed.
