DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Daltonganj (Jharkhand) got established in year 2008 under the joint sector of Govt. of Jharkhand. The Institute is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and affiliated to Jharkhand Technical University, Medininagar, Palamau (Jharkhand). This is the first degree level Engineering institute started by the DAV College Trust and management Society, New Delhi in Jharkhand. The DAV College trust and Management Society is the largest non-government educational organization in India managing a chain of 900 institutions in India and abroad. DAVIET is carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts educational curriculum & training to students to make competent, motivated engineers and scientist. The institute not only celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society.

Location - DAVIET is at Medininagar (Daltonganj) in Palamau, Jharkhand. It is spread over a 40 acres of land, located on Betla Road (Betla is famous for its National Park & Tiger Reserve), approximately 1.5 km away from the Ranchi-Daltonganj main road & 12 kms form Daltonganj City. It is in the lap of enchanting hills and lish green. It is well connected by roadways and railways.
